Workshops and Sleepovers

The Good Zoo conducts workshop programs and sleepovers for schools, scouts, clubs, church groups and any other organization that wants an exciting educational experience. Our trained education staff, experienced in providing programming for all ages, will conduct your workshop with a guided tour of the zoo and live animal presentation. Make a night out of it and join us for a sleepover!

Available year-round, workshops are $15.45 per youth; $9.27 per adult. A $200 deposit is required at the time of booking. Workshops run from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday & Sunday, with some weekday programs available. Workshops include zoo admission, a program presented by zoo education staff, a guided partial tour of the zoo and a live animal presentation.

Sleepovers are $30.90 per youth; $23.69 per adult. A $400 deposit is required at the time of booking. Sleepovers are held Friday or Saturday nights, with weekday programs available, from 7:00 pm to 10:30 am and include zoo admissions, a program presented by zoo education staff, a guided zoo tour, a live animal presentation, nighttime snack, and continental breakfast.

Edzoocation Programs & Tours

Edzoocation Programs are 30-minute programs that incorporate animal ambassadors, biofacts and multimedia to teach students about a variety of topics. Edzoocation Tours integrate classroom learning and real-world applications with the ones who know it best! Learn about the region’s wildlife and see animals in their habitats up close on these 45-minute to 1 hour guided tours of a specific zoo area.

Zoo To You Programs

Zoo-To-You Programs are 45-minute presentations from a zoo educator and some of our popular animal ambassadors. Animal ambassadors may include birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and small mammals. Sorry, the zebra won’t fit in the van! These programs are a great supplement to your school curriculum, after-school program, scout meeting, summer camp, community programs, and more!

Parties

Celebrate your party at the Oglebay Good Zoo! We do all of the set up and clean up. All you have to do is show up! The basic party package includes zoo admission for up to 25 guests, party room for two hours, paper goods (table cover, plates, napkins, etc.), and one team member to assist with party activities. Looking for some extra excitement? Check out our party addons to experience an up-close animal encounter or guided zoo tour!
